Title: “All About Me - Choosing the Perfect College Major and Career"

Street Address: 18120 SW Lower Boones Ferry Rd, Tigard, OR

Description of Seminar:

So you’re about to devote a pile of money, years of your life and
incredible amounts of energy into your college education?

Even though college is a fantastic time to grow and learn, the truth is most college students choose their major and resulting career for all the wrong reasons.  They choose it for the money, or because they got good grades in it, or because they’ve heard there is demand for that position, or maybe because of the influence of parents and friends.

When they choose the wrong career, they pay the price later on.  First, the student gets caught in the College ZigZag.  They take anything but a straight line to get through college.  They change majors, or transfer schools and lose credits, or leave school to “find themselves” and (maybe) return later, or they just plod their way through just to get done.  The College ZigZag results in…

Wasted money, wasted time,
and an abundance of heartaches.

The other problem is the student who gets excited about a particular career and finishes college only to find that the career doesn’t excite them.  This happens more often than you’d think.  Even with a first class education, statistics show 86% of people end up in a career they don’t love.  Why?

When you decide on a major and career using the wrong criteria, you leave your future happiness to the luck of the draw.  There is only one criterion that is proven to work, and that is to make sure you remember…

"It's all about me."
It really is that simple!

To get the most from a college education, you MUST know exactly what makes you tick at the most visceral level.  Once you understand this, it’s merely a matter of shaping your education and career to make a great living doing that.  I know that sounds simple, but the real truth is most students don’t do it that way.  They make career decisions around what we call “Should Bees”… doing it because they think that’s what they should do.

In our interactive “It’s All About Me” seminar, we’ll show you how to eliminate the Should Bees in your major and career decisions.  We’ll explain how to know when a particular career (and major) fits you to a T. We’ll explain how to save education dollars by making sure you get into something you both love and excel in.  (I’ll give you a hint.  It’s very different from the traditional approach currently taught by most university career centers… and it’s a lot simpler.)

This seminar is open to both students and parents…in fact, we recommend both coming.

You’ll come away with a clear understanding of exactly how to spend your hard earned dollars on an education that you will love for the rest of your life.

"It's all about me" will be held at Club Sport located at 18120 SW Lower Boones Ferry Road (right next to Bridgeport Village in Tigard, Oregon).  The seminar will begin at 7:00 pm and end at roughly 8:15.

Here is what our customers are telling us.....

Merrill W. – Harvard Business School Grad

Stuck in a Rut's unique process for divining given talent and then using that knowledge to change a life is worth ten times the price.

Charles F. – Administrative Assistant done with Pretending

As I am fast becoming a lousy Great Pretender, I am grateful to have found you and The Clarifier process. I wish I could remember more about the experience because I doubt I will ever have another one like it.

Rory L. - Customer Service Representative looking for R&D work

I always kind of knew how I think, but I've never been able to describe it to anybody because it seems so complex. It was mind boggling how quickly you guys were able to drill down and tell me exactly how I think in more detail than I ever thought possible. It was amazing! You nailed it!

Nancy C - Life Coach happy in her job

You don't know how much this is helping me. It gives me a new sense of myself. Your process lets me find out who I am in a fun setting and be totally OK with it.

Romano L. - Tech Specialist looking to get out

I have been working with Dave from the Stuck in a Rut and it has been great. You will find a friend; who really wants to help and takes joy in helping. His help and advices would probably cost hundreds or thousands in the open market.

Brian R. - College student majoring in science

I shared my Given Talent with my parents and family and they all thought it was dead on.

Bianka S. – Student who chose nursing as a career

It seems as though my talent is going to be playing itself out this summer. I am going to be taking the assistant nursing class and getting certified so I can do that this summer in a rehab center! I am so excited.

Mike M. - Insurance Consultant

BINGO!!! You nailed it right on the head! That’s is really where my strengths and talents meet.

Stacey H. – Re-entering the work force after returning to school

I am so excited about this process...and that is a huge understatement. The process was calming, relaxing, stimulating, inspiring, and fun. I feel like an onion… you gently allowed the dry exterior that the rest of the world sees to fall off and then gave me the tools to look at each layer carefully on its own merits.  As I remove and evaluate each layer, I find things that were running just below my level of consciousness.

This is all sinking in and I am seeing evidence of what you spoke of ALL OVER the place!   AMAZING!
